Rituals are of great importance at TAZ Horgen
In most classes there are daily rituals at circle time. Once a month all the children congregate in our gymnasium for an Assembly. We also enjoy annual occasions like the TAZ sports day using the facilities at Waldegg school; the kindergartenturnip lantern parade; our Advent singing evening with the whole school on the playground; the visiting day for TAZ parents at which children can proudly present their work; the taster afternoon before the end of school to welcome all the children for the next year; our symbolic leaving ritual for the outgoing Grade 6 class, in which they abseil from the kindergarten on the 4th floor past all levels of the school to the yellow playground. Last but not least, we have the TAZ summer party organised by the Parents Association at Park im Grünen.
These repeated occasions form landmarks in the school-lives of our children, providing reliability and security - two values which are so important for children at this age.
