Primary School

Each pupil learns techniques that will enable him/her to study on their own, complete project assignments and communicate specific information effectively. These are all focal points of the TAZ primary school programme. The curriculum of Zürich's primary schools forms the foundation for this approach (available at www.lehrmittelverlag.com). For English we use the National Curriculum (UK).
Each class has two teachers, one each of English- and German-mother-tongue. These teachers do not teach at the same time as is the case in kindergarten. All subjects are taught first by the German speaking teacher during a first week and then by the English speaking teacher the second week - this alternates on a weekly basis. Together, both teachers carefully plan the end-of-the-week, class hand over to ensure it goes smoothly.

It is our goal to carefully instruct each child during their journey from kindergarten through the 6th grade so that he/she will be well prepared to continue their education at a grammar or secondary school on completion of TAZ Horgen.
